Suicidarum
In the future ending your own life will not be a taboo anymore. The right to die will be an integral part of most nations’ constitution and special places where an act of suicide can be commited in dignified way will be provided. One such solution is a Suicidarum, a facility that provides dignified suicide for people with terminal diseases and everybody else who decided to end their life.
Person about to end their life is brought to a special silo with spiral ramp that ascends to the top of the building. “Mors voluntaria tua virtute” (Suicide is power) is written in Latin to encourage the suicider to proceed to the bridge. At the end of the ramp client says goodbye to the family and plunges to death. 20 meter fall results in instantaneous death.
Modern facility allows family members to be with the suicider at the last moments of their life. A medical team and a coroner are present to determine one’s death and accompany the family members to the crematorium.
