The aesthetics of North Korea is something unique. Soft, pastel colors are in stark contrast with cruelty of the regime and aesthetics of other totalitarian regimes. Pink, baby blue, light green, and yellow with over-the-top scenes of prosperity adorn everything from TV News set, to hotel lobbies and apartment facades.
Science, agriculture, industry, leadership, and glorious army are depicted in three “maquettes” in typical North Korean visual language.
